Zombie

Created in under one hour using latex, tissue, makeup, & fake blood.

Hill Central Demo

I was invited to Hill Central School in New Haven, CT as a presenter for their "Fun Fridays" program. The program is intended to improve the attitude and discipline of the students by offering them a fun event at the end of the week if they behave and do their work. Prior to my presentation, students were actually competing to be better behaved than each other! The kids had a great time, and especially enjoyed coming up with a story for each piece. The three 'best behaved' who were chosen for the makeup work, even played pranks on their classmates and families who bought it hook, line, and sinker.

Zombie Prom

Getting brought in to do makeup for a show the day before opening night isn't exactly the best situation to be put in. Having between 3 and 5 minutes to do that makeup on a sweaty actor (while they have to sing offstage) before they have to run back out for another dance number is when things start to get REALLY interesting...

Fright Haven

Along with working at Fright Haven (charity haunt) for the 2008 season, I also did a bit of promotional work appearing as 'The Butcher' in a New Haven Register article as well as at a local Subway restaurant.

Skull

Practice skull face paint working on blending and sponge technique.

Blood Lettering Practice

Practicing a haunt/festival favorite, "blood lettering".

Costume Party

Quick makeup done for a costume party: "Boys Boys Boys" (the Lady Gaga lyrics), and "Guy Fawkes" (from V for Vendetta).

FaceOff Contest Entry

My entry into the SyFy channel's 2011 FaceOff competition. Finding out about the competition only 3 days before the due date for entries didn't leave me with any time for ordering materials. What you see is the quick & dirty hardware and drug store method of makeup fx.

Digital Prosthetic Sculpt

This was a digital pattern concept WED clay prosthetic sculpt for use in the 2011 IMATS auditions for SyFy's FaceOff competition show but was unfortunately never used because of sudden illness. Facebook users got to vote on what color the inlay would be and suggested such gems as "Mace Windu Purple" and "Tron Blue" but finally went with "Computer Chip Green". A digital pattern costume was also designed for the competition & can be seen in the Assorted Costume section of this site.
