Burlap Mask
This mask started life as one of my 'fitted sock' style masks, but quickly became something else. With the need to create something original and terrifying as well the need to use or get rid of an old burlap rice bag that I had sitting around, this project took shape as something of a cross between Mr. Oogie Boogie and a scarecrow. The entire mask is coated in latex for durability and uses lightweight polyfoam to produce the eyebrow ridge, nose, and mouth shapes.
Connecticut Style Visit
In October 2009, I was invited to appear alongside my good friend Ezia "Z" Leach on the Halloween episode of Connecticut Style on WTNH News Channel 8 featuring Sonia Baghdady and Desiree Fontaine (whom I first met during Fright Haven 2008). The purpose of this visit was to surprise and scare Sonia (Desiree being in on the bit having set up the whole thing). After our time on the show, we had an opportunity to meet local celebrity & meteorologist Dr. Mel Goldstein who was just as charismatic as his broadcasts depict him.
