Day H
Makeup & Gore FX

Quick Description

Day H was a concept zombie film produced and directed by Jeff Magni as a portfolio piece and shot entirely in High Definition. I was involved in the production of the film as a makeup/effects consultant and had a small acting role as well, though it got cut from the final film. I do have a copy of the film, and had originally planned to post it to this site, but upon attempting upload, found that my host will not allow files that large. Unless Jeff posts the film to YouTube (which I've been bugging him to do, but doubt he will), if you would like to see it, please let me know and I will be more than happy to make you a copy. Though there were many script changes, the basis of the original concept stayed intact: as one person changes, how do those around him change? Is it only once you see things from the other side, that you truly see them? My work helped to create both the horrific scenes caused by the already-zombies, as well as facilitate the slow visual transformation that the main character undergoes from human through to full zombie. The director did not want decaying/dead zombies so much as simple pale zombies with sunken eyes. Though I was only involved with the production for two days, all of the footage seen in the trailer, production photos, and film stills (available below) were done during my time working on the film.
