I was invited to Hill Central School in New Haven, CT as a guest presenter for their "Fun Fridays" program. The program is intended to improve the attitude and discipline of the students by offering them a fun event at the end of the week if they behave and do their work. The days prior to my presentation, classes actually had students competing to be better behaved than the others! The kids had a great time, especially when I asked them to come up with a story for each piece. The three 'best behaved' who were chosen for the makeup work, even played pranks on their classmates and families who bought it hook, line, & sinker.
Created in 1 hour using makeup, fake blood, latex & bath tissue for a Halloween event.
Trying out a new brand of makeup and working on my blending/shading technique.
Getting brought in to do makeup for a show the day before opening night isn't exactly the best situation to be put in. Having between 3 and 5 minutes to do that makeup on a sweaty actor (while they have to sing offstage) before they have to run back out for another dance number is when things start to get REALLY interesting...
